Commercial Electrical Upgrade — 45kVA Transformer & 125A Distribution Panel

    Texas
    All projects

This commercial electrical upgrade covered three connected scopes in a single project: transformer installation, distribution panel addition, and a full LED lighting upgrade across the warehouse floor.

Wide view of the completed electrical wall — transformer, panel, disconnect, and conduit rise to the high-bay ceiling.

The centerpiece of the job was a 45kVA Eaton transformer paired with a new 125A distribution panel. The transformer steps voltage down to feed the panel, which in turn distributes power to the production machines on the floor. Installing the distribution panel local to the equipment — rather than running long circuits back to the main service — keeps voltage drop in check and makes adding or moving machine circuits straightforward.

After — warehouse floor lit with new LED high-bays. Even coverage across the full workspace.

Machine circuits in a fabrication environment need to be done right. Each piece of equipment got a dedicated circuit with an appropriately sized disconnect, conduit run from the panel, and proper termination at the load. Duplex outlet boxes were run along the wall at machine height for additional receptacle access, all in EMT conduit mounted clean to the wall.

The lighting upgrade replaced inadequate existing fixtures with LED high-bays sized for the ceiling height and the workspace below. High-bay fixtures for a facility like this are selected based on the mounting height, the required foot-candles at the floor level, and how the fixture beam pattern distributes light across the space. The finished result is a fully lit working environment — even coverage, no dead zones, and dramatically better visibility compared to what was there before.

Commercial and industrial electrical work like this requires a licensed contractor who understands load calculations, transformer sizing, and equipment circuit design. Cyber Electric handles commercial scopes including new facilities, tenant improvements, and manufacturing build-outs.
