Tesla Wall Connectors are the right answer for anyone who owns a Tesla and has a garage. The mobile connector that ships with the car works, but it's a 120V plug-in — that's roughly 3-5 miles of range per hour of charging. A Wall Connector on a dedicated 240V, 60A circuit delivers up to 44 miles per hour. For most people, that means plugging in at night and waking up to a full charge regardless of what the day's driving looked like.
Both of these installations are straightforward garage jobs: a dedicated 240V circuit pulled from the panel to the Wall Connector location, EMT conduit where the wire is exposed, and the unit mounted at a height where the cable reaches the vehicle's charge port easily. The Wall Connector gets hard-wired — there's no plug, it's a direct connection — and configured through the Tesla app after installation.

The first install sits immediately beside the panel, which keeps the conduit run short and clean. The second is in a tighter garage space with the conduit running vertically up the wall from the circuit entry point below.
Wall Connector installs are one of the more common jobs we do now. As more households add a second Tesla or plan ahead for future vehicles, the requests for two-charger setups — like the pedestal mount in our portfolio — are becoming more common too. If you have a Tesla and are still using the mobile connector, it's worth the upgrade.
